With the number of COVID-19 cases in Singapore increasing daily, more companies are arranging alternative work arrangements to curb the spread of the virus. 46% of employed respondents indicated that there are work from home arrangements put in place by their companies, with many coming from those working in MNCs. However, how has working from home affected productivity? More employees than managers find that team productivity has increased as a result, also preferring this arrangement more than working in office. Has this outbreak shown us that companies in Singapore can actually include alternative work arrangements with the same, or even better results in terms of productivity and employee satisfaction?
