Singaporeans are planning to retire after 65

Top reasons for wanting to keep working are to stay active and have a sense of purpose, maintain social commentions and save up for old age, a study commissioned by The Sunday Times has found. Read more in the Straits Times feature here

Only 14% believe they are on track for early retirement. We released the results of our ‘Financial Independent, Retire Early’ study, which aimed to find out how common the FIRE movement is among Southeast Asians, and the steps they are taking to achieve their goal. While at work, what happens when your company doesn’t share your values?

In our latest ‘’Values at Work’’ study, we wanted to find out where employees’ stand on their values at the workplace, their sentiments and whether they have had their values compromised - Have they ever had their conscience wounded or their innate sense of justice violated at work? And what does work mean to Singaporeans?

As younger generations demand flexible work hours and shorter work weeks, parallel to that is the rise of the anti-work movement. Not simply against work per se, people are increasingly questioning the purpose of work - who do we work for? Why do we even work in the first place? We sought to understand what different generations in Singapore think about purpose, loyalty and achievement in the context of their careers. Discover what work means to Singaporeans here!
